Quick summary: Casino Compass is a free iPhone app with indoor floor plans and step-by-step directions inside 20+ Las Vegas Strip casinos. Find a restaurant, restroom, exit, your tower's elevators, or the indoor walkway to the casino next door — from inside the building, not just the front entrance. Works offline, so casino Wi-Fi doesn't matter.

The Problem with Casino Maps in Vegas

If you've tried to find a specific restaurant, restroom, or exit inside a Las Vegas casino, you already know the issue: your phone's map app stops being useful the second you walk through the front doors.

Google Maps and Apple Maps are built for outdoor, street-level routing. GPS doesn't reliably work inside large windowless buildings, and neither app carries the indoor floor plans that a 100,000-square-foot casino with multiple towers, a dozen restaurants, and a basement food hall needs. So you get dropped at the front entrance and you're on your own. Casino signage and elevator directories cover the basics. After that, you're asking hosts who point down hallways with three forks.

The casinos don't make it easier on purpose. Curved walkways and sightline-blocking gaming pits steer you back toward the slots. There are no clocks, no exterior windows on the gaming floor, and dim lighting around the perimeter. Indoor walkways to neighboring properties are barely signposted because the casino isn't in a rush to send you next door. The result: a confident first-time visitor doubles back through the same gaming floor three times to reach a reservation that's technically a five-minute walk away.

What Casino Compass Does

Casino Compass is the indoor layer your default map app doesn't have. Open the app, pick a property, and you get the full building: every public level, hotel towers, food halls, the spa, convention space, and the indoor links to neighboring casinos.

From there, search for what you actually need — a restaurant, the nearest restroom, an exit, your tower's elevator bank, the rideshare pickup zone — and follow the indoor route from where you are to where you need to be.

Features

Indoor floor plans

Multi-level layouts for the casino floor, restaurants, retail corridors, and pool decks. You can see where you are in the building, not just where the building is on the Strip.

Step-by-step indoor directions

Pick your destination, get a clear walking route inside the property. The directions are tailored to the casino's actual layout — which level you're on, which side of the property you're on, and how to get from one to the other without doubling back through the gaming floor.

Search by venue, not just casino

Find the specific thing inside the casino. Search for restaurants, restrooms, exits, and shops by name or category, and the app surfaces the result on the floor plan with directions from where you are.

Connections to nearby casinos

Where two properties are connected by a walkway, tram, or pedestrian bridge, the app shows the route. Examples include the new Cosmopolitan-Vdara-Bellagio walkway, the Mandalay Bay-Luxor-Excalibur tram, the Wynn-to-Venetian pedestrian bridge over Sands Avenue, and the Park MGM to Aria indoor link. For full walking-route guides between properties, see our connection guides.

Works offline

Download a property map before your trip and the app runs without a data connection. Casino Wi-Fi is unreliable, and dead zones inside the building are common. With offline maps, you're not stuck the moment your phone loses its bars.

Free, no account, no subscription

Casino Compass is free to download and free to use. There's no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no account to create. Download the app, open it, pick a property, get a map. That's the whole flow.

Stop walking the same gaming floor three times.

Properties Covered

Casino Compass currently includes detailed indoor maps for the largest and most-searched Las Vegas Strip properties. New properties are added on a rolling basis. Each property below has its own deep-dive navigation guide on this site — useful for orienting yourself before you download the map.

Other properties in the app include Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Paris Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood, Flamingo, LINQ, Excalibur, and New York-New York. Open the property picker inside Casino Compass for the current full list.

When You'll Actually Use It

Finding a restaurant before a reservation. You've booked dinner at a place you've never been to inside a casino you've never been to. The app shows the restaurant on the floor plan and an indoor route to it so you don't arrive late.

Walking between casinos that share a connection. In July, when it's 110 degrees, the difference between the Strip sidewalk and a covered walkway is whether you arrive sweating. Where two properties are connected indoors, the app shows the entrances and the route.

Finding the rideshare pickup zone. Most casinos have a designated rideshare zone separate from the valet porte cochère, and they're often poorly signed inside the building. The app shows where it is and how to get there from the casino floor.

Getting back to your room without crossing the casino three times. Multi-tower properties don't always connect inside the towers, so picking the wrong elevator bank means doubling back through the gaming floor. The app shows which tower's elevators you need before you start walking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a map app for Las Vegas casinos?

Yes. Casino Compass is a free Las Vegas casino map app for iPhone with indoor floor plans and step-by-step directions inside 20+ Strip properties, including Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Aria, Wynn, MGM Grand, Venetian, and The Cosmopolitan. It works where Google Maps and Apple Maps stop being useful: inside the building, on the casino floor, between towers, and in back-of-house corridors that aren't on public maps.

Why doesn't Google Maps work inside Las Vegas casinos?

Google Maps and Apple Maps are built for outdoor street-level routing using GPS, which doesn't reliably work inside large windowless buildings. They also don't have the indoor floor plans needed to route you through a multi-level casino. The result is that they can drop you at the property entrance but not tell you which tower your room is in, where a specific restaurant or restroom is, or how to walk between connected casinos using indoor walkways.

Is the Casino Compass app free?

Yes, Casino Compass is completely free to download and use. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no account required. Download the app from the App Store, open it, and start using indoor maps immediately.

Does the Casino Compass app work without Wi-Fi?

Yes. Casino floor Wi-Fi is often slow or unavailable, so Casino Compass lets you download property maps before your trip and use them fully offline. Once a property's map is downloaded, you can navigate inside the casino without any data connection.

Which Las Vegas casinos does Casino Compass cover?

Casino Compass currently covers 20+ Las Vegas Strip properties, with detailed indoor maps for Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Aria, Wynn and Encore, MGM Grand, Venetian and Palazzo, and The Cosmopolitan. Additional properties (Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Paris Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood, Flamingo, and more) are added on a rolling basis.

Is Casino Compass available on Android?

Casino Compass is currently available for iPhone only and requires iOS 18.0 or later.
