How to Navigate Wynn & Encore: Layout, Directions, and Tips
Quick summary: Wynn and Encore are two connected towers at the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, linked by the Esplanade shopping corridor. The walk between them takes 5–10 minutes. The property has four separate hotel lobbies, and the pedestrian entrance from the Strip is through Wynn Plaza. Use the Lake of Dreams as your central landmark.
Two towers, one resort, and roughly 110,000 square feet of gaming floor. Wynn and Encore sit at the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, set back behind an artificial mountain that hides the entrance from the sidewalk. From the outside, the property looks compact and straightforward. It isn't. The walk from the Wynn casino floor to Encore's far side takes longer than most guests expect, and the four separate hotel lobbies confuse first-time visitors.
Once you understand the Wynn-Esplanade-Encore axis and learn to use the Lake of Dreams as your anchor point, the property clicks into place. Here's how the two towers connect and where to find what you're looking for.
How Wynn & Encore Are Laid Out
Think of the property as two curved towers connected by a luxury corridor. Wynn is the south tower, facing the Strip. Encore is the north tower, set behind Wynn. Between them is the Esplanade, a covered, shop-lined walkway that serves as the main artery between the two properties.
Wynn (South Tower). This is the original property and the side closest to Las Vegas Boulevard. The casino floor wraps around the Lake of Dreams, an outdoor lagoon visible through floor-to-ceiling windows. The lake is the single most useful landmark on property. If you can see it, you can orient to everything else. The Wynn Atrium near main registration features rotating floral displays, and the main porte cochère is on this side for valet and rideshare.
Encore (North Tower). The newer tower sits behind Wynn to the north. Encore has its own casino floor, its own porte cochère, and its own restaurant and pool complex. It's a full resort in its own right, not just an annex. The Encore Theater, a 1,500-seat concert venue, sits between the two properties and makes a useful midpoint landmark.
The Esplanade. This luxury shopping corridor connects Wynn and Encore. It's the primary path between the two towers and the route most guests use. Both the Wynn Esplanade and Encore Esplanade sections are lined with high-end retail. The walk through the full Esplanade takes 5-10 minutes depending on your pace and starting point.
Wynn Plaza. Opened in 2018, this 70,000-square-foot outdoor retail area provides direct pedestrian access from the Strip sidewalk. If you're walking from another casino on Las Vegas Boulevard, Wynn Plaza is your entrance. It connects to the Wynn casino floor and avoids the longer route through the main porte cochère.
Finding What You Need
Hotel Elevators
This is where most confusion happens. There are four separate registration and elevator areas: Wynn Resort, Wynn Tower Suites, Encore Resort Suites, and Encore Tower Suites. Check your confirmation email for which one you're in before you arrive. Wynn elevators are accessible from the Wynn casino floor near the Atrium. Encore elevators are on the far side of Encore from the Esplanade entrance, meaning if you walk the full Esplanade and then need to find Encore Tower Suites, you still have another 3-5 minutes of walking.
Restaurants
Wynn's fine dining clusters around the Lake of Dreams. SW Steakhouse, Lakeside, and Mizumi all have lake views and are easy to find once you orient to the water. On the Encore side, the main restaurants are Sinatra, Casa Playa, and Wazuzu. For casual dining, Red 8 Asian Bistro and Allegro are on the Wynn casino floor. Cipriani and Urth Caffé are at Wynn Plaza, accessible from the Strip entrance. When you have a reservation, confirm which side of the property the restaurant is on. A Wynn-to-Encore walk with a wrong turn can easily eat 15 minutes.
Restrooms
Casino floor restrooms are near each tower's elevator bank. Additional restrooms on the Wynn side are near the sportsbook. Encore restrooms are near the Encore lobby area. These are generally less crowded than the ones near the gaming floor.
Poker Room
The poker room is on the Encore side, with 28 tables and USB charging at each seat. If you're coming from Wynn, walk through the Esplanade toward Encore and follow signs. It's past the Encore casino floor.
Sportsbook
The Wynn Race & Sports Book is on the Wynn casino floor, featuring a 1,600-square-foot LED wraparound screen. It's one of the more prominent sportsbooks on the Strip and relatively easy to find from the Wynn side of the property.
Exits and Strip Access
Wynn Plaza is the pedestrian entrance from the Strip. Use this if you're walking from nearby casinos along Las Vegas Boulevard. The Wynn main porte cochère handles valet and rideshare pickup on the south side. The Encore porte cochère is on the north side for Encore valet. Don't order a rideshare to Encore if your car is coming to Wynn's entrance. They're separate driveways with no shortcut between them.
Pools
Wynn and Encore have more pools than most visitors expect. The Wynn Resort Pool is all-ages and accessible from the Wynn tower area. Encore Beach Club is the 21+ dayclub with DJs and cabanas, a separate venue with its own entrance and cover charge. Tower Suites guests get access to a private pool. Encore also has two European-style pools (21+, topless optional). Make sure you know which pool you're headed to before walking. They're spread across the property.
Shopping
Three distinct shopping areas: the Wynn Esplanade (interior luxury retail connecting to the Encore side), the Encore Esplanade (continuation of interior shops), and Wynn Plaza (exterior, Strip-facing retail). Wynn Plaza is the only one accessible without entering the casino.

Walking right past the entrance. The artificial mountain and dense landscaping hide the resort from the sidewalk. If you're walking the Strip, you can pass the entire property without seeing a way in. Look for the Wynn Plaza retail area. That's your pedestrian entrance.
Underestimating the Wynn-to-Encore walk. The Esplanade looks short on paper. In practice, walking from the Wynn casino floor to the far side of Encore takes 5-10 minutes, and it feels longer because you're indoors the entire time. Budget accordingly when you have dinner reservations on the opposite side.
Going to the wrong registration desk. Four separate lobbies. If you show up at Wynn Resort registration when you're booked in Encore Tower Suites, you'll be redirected and lose another 5-10 minutes walking. Check your booking confirmation before you arrive.
Defaulting to the porte cochère on foot. Guests walking the Strip often follow the driveway to the main entrance. Wynn Plaza is faster and drops you right onto the casino floor.
Getting to Nearby Casinos
To Venetian / Palazzo: There's a pedestrian overpass bridge across Sands Avenue connecting the two properties. About 5 minutes from the south side of Wynn. This bridge is one of the more convenient casino-to-casino connections on the Strip.
To the Las Vegas Convention Center: The Vegas Loop (Boring Company tunnel) has a station at Encore. The ride takes roughly 70 seconds. This is by far the fastest option when LVCC events are running.
To Fashion Show Mall / Treasure Island: Walk south on Las Vegas Boulevard from Wynn Plaza. Fashion Show Mall is about 10 minutes, Treasure Island another 5 beyond that. Use the Strip sidewalk; there's no shortcut. For more options, see our guide to getting around Las Vegas.
To Bellagio / Caesars Palace: These are about 1.5 miles south on the Strip. Walking takes 25-30 minutes. A rideshare from the Wynn porte cochère is faster and runs about $10-15 depending on traffic and surge pricing. The Las Vegas Monorail doesn't stop at Wynn, so it's not an option here.
Navigation Tips
The Lake of Dreams is your compass. It's the center of the Wynn side. If you can find the lake through the floor-to-ceiling windows, you know where you are relative to the main restaurants, the casino floor, and the Esplanade entrance.
Use the Encore lobby when Wynn registration is packed. Peak check-in times (3-5 PM) create long lines at Wynn. Encore's registration area is often less crowded, and the staff can check you in regardless of which tower you're staying in.
Watch the in-room Resort Tour channel. Wynn's TV system includes a property overview channel that shows layouts and directions. Worth five minutes when you first check in. It'll save you more time than it costs.
Enter from Wynn Plaza when walking the Strip. Don't loop around to the porte cochère. Wynn Plaza puts you on the casino floor faster and is the entrance designed for pedestrians.
The Palazzo bridge is a shortcut. If you're heading to or from the Venetian area, the pedestrian bridge across Sands Avenue is significantly faster than walking the Strip sidewalk south and back up. It's one of several Strip shortcuts most visitors miss — see our guide to the hidden connections between Vegas casinos for the full list.
