Most Las Vegas navigation guides exist because the casino is enormous and you will get lost inside it. Treasure Island is the opposite problem. The gaming floor is about 47,900 square feet — roughly a quarter the size of the biggest floors on the Strip — and it is one open room rather than a series of linked zones. You can walk end to end in two or three minutes without a map.
The difficulty at TI is everything around the casino. The property fronts the Strip behind a three-story shopping building rather than a casino entrance. Its southern neighbor is a fenced construction site. Its tram is switched off. And the only fixed way to cross Las Vegas Boulevard on foot here is a single pedestrian bridge. Getting around inside is easy; getting in and out is where people lose fifteen minutes.
The Layout: One Room, One Tower
Treasure Island is unusually simple by Strip standards, and the reason is structural. It was built as one resort with one hotel tower, and it has never been bolted onto a neighbor or expanded into a complex. The 36-story tower has a Y-shaped floorplan, so from the elevator lobby your room sits along one of three arms — check which arm before you set off, because the arms look identical and picking the wrong one is the most common in-tower mistake here.
The casino floor sits at ground level below the tower, open and roughly rectangular. The theater for Mystère, Cirque du Soleil's longest-running Las Vegas show and a fixture since the resort opened in 1993, is off the floor toward the north end. Restaurants ring the floor rather than hiding behind it: Gilley's Saloon, Señor Frog's, Seafood Shack and Phil's Steak House are all reachable from the gaming area in a minute or two.
The building that confuses people from the Strip
If you walk up from the Strip sidewalk expecting a grand casino entrance, you will not find one. Where the pirate ships and the Sirens of TI lagoon used to be — the show closed permanently in October 2013 — there is now a three-story retail building, opened in 2015, with a CVS Pharmacy on the ground floor and the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. exhibit inside. The casino is behind it.
This is the single most common orientation error at Treasure Island. From the Strip, walk through or around the retail building to reach the casino entrance; do not stand at the sidewalk looking for a porte cochère that faces the Boulevard.
The casino is easy. The way in is the part people get wrong.

Free Self-Parking, and the Level That Matters
Treasure Island is one of the few properties left on the Strip with free self-parking for guests and visitors. That is a genuine outlier: most of its MGM and Caesars neighbors moved to paid parking years ago, and TI never followed. The reason is ownership — MGM Mirage sold the resort to Phil Ruffin in 2009 and it has been independently run since, so MGM Rewards tiers and their parking perks have no bearing here.
The garage is a seven-level structure of roughly 632 spaces on the north side of the property. One detail is worth more than the rest:

Strip parking policies change without much notice. Free self-parking at Treasure Island is current as of 2026, but confirm on the official Treasure Island site before relying on it for a long stay.

To The Venetian and Palazzo (east, across the Strip). A pedestrian bridge crosses Las Vegas Boulevard from the south end of Treasure Island and lands on the Venetian side — about five minutes property to property. It is open-air with escalators at each end, and it is the practical way to cross the Boulevard here. To the former Mirage, now Hard Rock (south). Not currently possible on foot in any pleasant way. The site is a fenced construction zone being rebuilt as Hard Rock Las Vegas, and the free tram that used to link Treasure Island to The Mirage is not operating. Wheelchair, scooter, and stroller access
The compact single-level casino floor is the easiest part of Treasure Island to move through — no long ramps, no split levels, and short distances between the floor, the theater and the restaurants. The garage bridge on level three gives step-free access into the building if you park there.
The pedestrian bridge across Las Vegas Boulevard is the constraint. Its default path uses escalators at both ends; elevators exist at Strip bridges but are not always obvious or in service, so if step-free crossing matters, ask a TI guest services desk for the current elevator route before setting out rather than discovering the problem at the top of the stairs.
Common Navigation Mistakes
Looking for a casino entrance from the sidewalk. The retail building fronts the Strip. Go through or around it.
Parking on the wrong garage level. Level three has the bridge. Any other level means stairs or a lift plus an outdoor walk.
Expecting the tram. It has been off since 2024 and older guides still list it. There is no tram service at Treasure Island right now.
Assuming MGM Rewards applies. Treasure Island has been independently owned since 2009. Tier benefits from the big operators do not carry here — though since self-parking is free, that particular perk is moot.
