Getting to the Sphere From Every Strip Hotel

7 min read|Last updated: October 2026

Sphere is farther from the Strip than it looks. It sits behind The Venetian at 255 Sands Ave, east of the Boulevard. If you're staying at The Venetian or The Palazzo, you can walk there indoors; from anywhere else, you'll walk the streets, ride the monorail, or take a rideshare. Here's how long each takes from your hotel.

The quick answer

Staying at The Venetian or The Palazzo? Walk indoors over the bridge through The Venetian Convention & Expo Center. It's open for most shows.

At The LINQ, Flamingo, The Vanderpump Hotel, Encore, Treasure Island or Wynn? Walk. It's about 14 to 22 minutes.

At Caesars Palace, Horseshoe, Paris, Planet Hollywood or Bellagio? Walk about 21 to 32 minutes, or take a rideshare.

On the south Strip (MGM Grand to Mandalay Bay)? Take a rideshare, or the monorail from MGM Grand to Harrah's/The LINQ and walk about 12 minutes.

Driving? Park in The Venetian or Palazzo garage (event rates during headliner shows), or buy Sphere's limited on-site parking with your tickets.

Getting out of your own hotel can be the slowest part.

*The indoor bridge runs from The Venetian Convention & Expo Center, so add the walk through the resort to reach it. It's open for most shows; check the posted signs. What the other times measure: the walk from the middle of each resort to the Venetian Bridge stairway on Sands Avenue, where Standard Admission guests walk in, per Sphere's FAQ. Each walk was measured two ways on October 5, 2026: an OpenStreetMap walking route at 3 mph and Google Maps' walking directions. Where they differ, the range runs from the shorter to the longer. They don't include getting out of your own casino, which can add several minutes at the big resorts. Route data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).

The indoor route from The Venetian and The Palazzo

The Venetian Resort, which includes The Palazzo, is the only hotel directly connected to Sphere. According to The Venetian's Sphere page (2026), a direct, indoor, climate-controlled pedestrian bridge runs through The Venetian Convention & Expo Center and serves most shows, so check the posted signs before you set off. The walkway is about 1,000 feet long and has closed during big conventions and sold-out shows, per the Las Vegas Advisor (2025).

Standard Admission guests enter Sphere on foot through the Venetian Bridge stairway, per Sphere's FAQ. The stairway is on Sands Avenue just east of Koval Lane (per OpenStreetMap), and it's where the walking times above end. The bridge also counts as an accessible entrance when you reach it through the resort. Where to park for the Sphere

Sphere's own parking is limited and sold as an add-on with your tickets, so many people park at The Venetian or The Palazzo instead. Sphere points drivers to its limited on-site lots, Howard Hughes and other local garages, and The Venetian says Sphere guests can use The Venetian and The Palazzo garages. Overnight parking isn't allowed at Sphere.

  • Rates at The Venetian Resort: as of September 2026, registered hotel guests pay $20 a day; everyone else pays $20 a day Monday to Thursday and $25 Friday to Sunday; valet is $40 a day, per The Venetian's parking page.
  • Event parking: event rates apply during Sphere headliner shows and vary by event. Nevada residents' free hours don't apply then.
  • Garage entrances: The Venetian garage from Las Vegas Boulevard or the shared access road off Koval Lane; The Palazzo garage from Sands Avenue.

For levels, EV charging and the self-park details, see our Venetian parking guide. On show days, Sphere asks drivers to arrive early and allow for street closures.

Rideshare and taxi drop-off

Rideshare pick-up and drop-off for Sphere is at the corner of Manhattan Street and Westchester Drive, across from the venue entrance, per Sphere. On event days, staff direct you from there. Sphere's official parking and entrances map also marks taxi, valet and autonomous-ride drop-off and pick-up zones, plus a limo stand.

After a show lets out, pickup lines can get long. If your hotel is one of the close ones in the table above, walking back can beat the wait.

Taking the monorail to the Sphere

The monorail passes right by Sphere but has no station there. By our walking estimate, the closest station is Harrah's/The LINQ, about 0.6 miles or a 12-minute walk. The Las Vegas Monorail runs behind the east side of the Strip, with stations at MGM Grand, Horseshoe/Paris, Flamingo/Caesars Palace, Harrah's/The LINQ, the Convention Center, Westgate and SAHARA. Trains run from 7 a.m. to midnight on Mondays, until 2 a.m. Tuesday to Thursday, and until 3 a.m. Friday to Sunday. Fares and tips are in our Las Vegas Monorail guide.

It's most useful from MGM Grand, whose station is on the east side of the resort, and from SAHARA, at the line's north end. From the middle of the Strip, walking is usually about as fast. Two other options don't reach Sphere: the free trams run only on the west side of the Strip, between Mandalay Bay and Bellagio (see the free trams guide), and there's no Vegas Loop station at Sphere or The Venetian as of September 2026.

Accessibility

  • For an accessible entrance, enter the property from Sands Avenue and use the East Entry or West Entry. The Venetian bridge is also accessible when you reach it through the resort.
  • Accessible parking is first come, first served, on site and in nearby lots.
  • If you don't have your own mobility device, Sphere offers free wheelchair transport to your seat, arranged when you arrive.

Details are on Sphere's accessibility services page.

When to arrive

Sphere asks guests to arrive early and to allow extra time for street closures on event days, and The Venetian notes that your ticket shows your door or entry time. For The Wizard of Oz at Sphere, doors open 45 minutes before the time on your ticket, late seating isn't allowed, and the show runs about 75 minutes, per the show's page (September 2026).
