This is the property that was Bally's Las Vegas until Caesars Entertainment rebranded it Horseshoe in December 2022 — and, decades before that, the original MGM Grand Hotel. The Walkway to Paris

The single most useful thing to know at Horseshoe is that you can walk indoors to Paris Las Vegas next door — roughly a 4-minute, step-free walk from the Horseshoe casino floor. The two resorts share a property line, and the connection lets you move between them, and on toward the Paris side of the mid-Strip, without going outside, waiting at a light, or crossing Las Vegas Boulevard.

That matters most in July heat or a Friday-night crowd, when the outdoor sidewalk between two adjacent resorts is slower and hotter than the air-conditioned route through the buildings. It also reframes where Horseshoe “is”: functionally, Horseshoe and Paris are one connected block, and the Eiffel Tower, the Paris restaurants, and the Paris monorail entrance are all reachable on foot from inside Horseshoe.

Two Levels: Casino and Mall

Horseshoe is easiest to picture as an upper casino level over a lower mall level, linked by an escalator. Knowing which one you want saves the most common wrong turn here — heading to the casino floor to find something that is actually a level below.

So the rule of thumb: gambling, the sportsbook, the poker room, the sit-down restaurants, and your room are all on the casino level; the food court, the pool, and the attractions are a level down at the mall. The escalator between them is the one vertical move most guests repeat.

Set Back From the Strip

One quirk carried over from the Bally's days: the hotel sits back from Las Vegas Boulevard, behind its front shops, so the walk in from the Strip sidewalk to the casino and the tower elevators is a real distance, not a few steps. If you are arriving by rideshare or taxi, the Flamingo Road entrance on the north side drops you much closer to the casino floor than the long walk in from the Boulevard.

The connection that matters most for wheeled access is the walkway to Paris, which is step-free — a level, indoor route between the two resorts rather than a curb-and-crosswalk trip along Flamingo Road. Between Horseshoe's own two levels, use the elevators rather than the escalator; the casino level and the mall level are both served by them.

Because the property is set back from the Boulevard, the shorter and flatter arrival for anyone on wheels is the Flamingo Road entrance on the north side, which puts you near the casino floor without the long approach from the Strip sidewalk. Common Navigation Mistakes

Not knowing the Paris walkway exists. Many guests cross Flamingo Road outdoors to reach the Paris side when there is a step-free indoor walkway from the Horseshoe casino floor. It is the fastest, coolest route — and it opens the whole Paris block on foot.

Looking on the wrong level. The casino, poker room, sportsbook, and sit-down restaurants are on the upper level; the food hall, pool, and attractions are down at the mall. Sort out your level before you start walking.

Underestimating the walk in from the Strip. Horseshoe sits back from the Boulevard, so the front approach is long. Arriving by car? Use the Flamingo Road entrance, which is much closer to the casino.

Still calling it Bally's. Old maps, signs, and bookings may say Bally's Las Vegas — it is the same building, rebranded Horseshoe in December 2022. The monorail station is now signed Horseshoe/Paris.
